Nassco Inc., a New Berlin provider of janitorial, paper and packaging supplies, announced Tuesday that it has acquired CTL Co. Inc., a 60-year-old distributor of janitorial supplies.

Based in Wausau, CTL distributes products to northern and central Wisconsin. Its primary focus has also been providing commercial design services.

Nassco president Mark Melzer runs the family-owned business with his sons.

This is the fifth company Nassco has purchased since 2000. Last year, the company bought Messner Inc., based in Madison. It purchased Advance Cleaning Products in Milwaukee and Dillon Co. Inc., based in Green Bay, in 2004, as well as John Rauschenberger Co. in Milwaukee in 2000.
