Tradewinds Contracting Services, LLC is a new business providing residential and commercial cleaning services.  Today I had a meeting with a representative from the NYS Department of Labor, Division of Safety & Health.  This meeting was so enlightening and opened my eyes to a different way of cleaning.  Also I understood that our city and state is always seeking those contractors who are mindful of people as well as our environment.  This led me to contact  IJCSA to obtain certain certifications.

After discussing going Green with my colleagues, we began to plan what would be the first steps needed to accomplish this transition. Because this is a new process we will plan in stages.  Being so new in business, and because we have at this time few customers, we will tackle one client at a time hoping for a smooth transition.     

Because we are a fairly new company we are qualified by the State of NY to have free training.  We will take advantage of this opportunity and schedule to have all of our staff fully trained in green cleaning.  As it relates to the change in products and equipment we will research manufacturers of green products and equipment to compare for our needs. 

Also we will contact experienced green cleaning companies in order to understand what works and what doesn't. We would write new procedures and incorporate them in our employee work manual, making sure that each employees is adhering to the new way we clean as well as the new equipment we use.  

We will then do a presentation to our client to show the advantages of using green products compared to toxic ones. We will show how green products are environmentally safe both for their employees and well as ours, reducing allegies and sick time. We would also let our clients know that not only would we be using green products if approved in their establishment but also in ours because we believe in it.
