I believe as a home owner, business owner and corporation that it is always good to clean and maintenance your carpet every 6 to 8 months a year depending on the high volume of client and customer traffic that travels in and out of that location threw out those months.

I'm also sure that any customer, client & corporation would want the best service possible or available to them and a employee who works for or has training  threw IJCSA would provide accurate and detailed service because the IJCSA provides training, education and certification to all employees and members outside of the organization and because of this these are the tools that would allow the technician to fulfill and perform his work and abilities on a professional level, while being out in the field.

    STEP 1 FOR GREEN CERTIFICATION

Write a two paragraph column or longer on how you plan to implement a green cleaning service program into your business

First, we will create a logical comprehensive program that provides a logical flow from inception to implementation. We have divided the process into five steps with a logical sequence of progression.

Groundwork - The first step is to build a Green Cleaning Team (Department). The Team will work to develop a Green Cleaning Program (Program) that meets the needs of the facility and stakeholders, and builds support for the Program.

Assessments - The Green Cleaning Baseline Assessment helps the Team compare existing cleaning practices with green cleaning practices, and identifies both strengths and areas for improvement. The Team can use the results of the assessment to identify possible goals and objectives for the Program.

Planning - The core of the Program is based upon the findings of the Green Cleaning Baseline Assessment. One baseline assessment per facility should be created. From the assessment, the Team needs to do the following: identify and prioritize goals and objectives; identify existing and budget additional custodial resources; produce a written Program; establish a timeline for completion; and seek feedback from facility stakeholders.

Implementation - While implementing the Program, the Team should hold regularly scheduled Team meetings, communicate progress to stakeholders, evaluate progress towards meeting established goals and objectives, and reinforce the importance of stakeholder contribution. In addition, Program implementation will include corporate approved training.

Evaluation - The Team should evaluate the Program by measuring its progress against benchmarks set in the timeline for implementation of goals and objectives. This will reveal what parts of the program are on target, and highlight areas that may need improvement. The Team should document the Program's accomplishments and challenges, and update the stakeholders on its progress. Based on the findings of the evaluation, the Team should revise the Program to address needed changes and incorporate new goals and objectives. The updated Green Cleaning Program should undergo implementation and be reevaluated after a set period.

I am just starting out but I never found such a field and expertise as cleaning and all the fascinating chemistry involved in cleaning. I have taken other cleaning classes and read about home made cleaning remedies.  I have really become interested because of my five pets and the dangers of small children and others sensitive to harsh chemicals.  There are a few recipes that I have that require bleach, and some that require ammonia.  I will use bleach sparingly and I will not use ammonia in my own home or a home with cats because they mistake the ammonia as urine and them may not use the litter box anymore.  There are several harsh chemicals that we should not use.  I am simultaneous taking a hazmat class and it discusses how much I did not know about basic home cleaners as well as industrial strength products such as the ones we buy from non green cleaning suppliers.  MSDS forms are rarely read and respirators  really should be used but people who are lacking basic chemistry knowledge about alkalines and acids.  I also am designing a land scaping floor plan that uses all sustainable pieces of the plan.  I enjoy reading and making my own cleaning products such as most wood floors, the type that need the polyurethane finish can be washed with vinegar, dish soap, warm water and tea bags.  I became very interested in this because I am always cleaning and taking business classes to run this business as well as a caregiver for the elderly, children , and pets.  I really do want to protect those particular clients of mine from a dirty house but also a house that instead of germs uses harsh chemicals that can severally harm the elderly, the young, as well as pets.  So my goal is that when my business services are in the decline mode and I need to be innovative I can launch new green products for not just cleaning but for the clients and pets I care for.
