Why is green cleaning so important? There are many reasons why, but to highlight a few reasons, one to start with right off the bat is the fact that we all share this planet, and naturally we want clean air to breathe and fresh water to drink, if we aren't environmentally conscience, we can all too easily get complacent and before you know it we could find ourselves in a situation where the damage is potentially irreversible.

Another point would be that it costs particularly less than the standard methods of cleaning, even if you don't have access to green seal certified products, you can make your own eco-friendly cleaning products around the house. One example is half a cup of vinegar and a gallon of water, you've got glass cleaner right there. 

One other point to consider is the safety and welfare of customers and faculty wherever you're working at. It is far less impactful on everyone to use green products as opposed to standard chemicals. Think about the ingredients they use in some of those chemicals; formaldehyde, caustic soda, muriatic acid, etc. those all, if handled improperly can be very dangerous and can kill someone. Needless to say, that if there is a safer and cheaper alternative for everyone, there's no reason to argue, green cleaning is not only the way to go, but the next step forward for all of us.
