Creating good habits when encountering bloodborne pathogens can be a matter of life or death. It is important that we have and understand the best practices around the exposure to HIV and HBV. The pathogens can be found in human body fluids and are easily transmitted if handled carelessly.

There are several ways to protect yourself and the customer when cleaning. Preparing yourself to encounter these pathogens should start with Personal Protective Equipment. PPE supplies come in the form of gloves,  masks, and eye goggles. These items limit exposure to the existing bloodborne pathogens. In addition, disposing of contaminated items such as, needles, swabs, etc. in the proper receptacle is vital to eliminating potential exposure. These containers should be easily identifiable by labeling and color coding.

Every employee should be provided education on bloodborne pathogens, the PPE to prevent contamination of blood pathogens and the access to testing and treatment if exposed to bloodborne pathogens. This information will keep each employee and customer safe when encountering bloodborne pathogens.

Green products don't use harmful ingredients. Ingredients like formaldehyde, thiourea, pathalates and ammonia are ingredients you should look out for many of these ingredients are skin or lung irritants and some are even carcinogens. The one thing about using Green products they come with a more expensive price then everyday cleaning products. It also may take a little more work than the toxic chemicals. The pros to green cleaning is knowing your not going to damage any of the surfaces in the home or office overtime like the traditional products can. They are also better for the environment if using something that goes down the drain. What goes in our water and food system eventually comes back to us!!! They also don't have any harmful effects if you accidently come in contact with them to your skin or eyes.

    Going Green Is Always Better!!!

If anything the year 2020 has taught us, it is the importance of hygiene. With growing responsibilities, it has become difficult for many a household to maintain the cleanliness of their homes, whilst taking care of their day jobs and children. This is where the maid service comes into play.

House cleaning in the USA has relied upon the use of maid services by many families who appreciate the aforementioned fact. However, it is pertinent to understand that having merely any cleaner does not guarantee hygiene and cleanliness.

IJSCA is an association that ensures that cleaners are certified and educated in sanitation and safety protocols when using chemicals. IJSCA certified house cleaning services go through standardized procedures and training, which enable them to maintain high-quality hygiene standards and provide quality house cleaning through professionally trained cleaners.

Additionally, engaging an IJCSA certified maid service ensures peace of mind; knowing the service provider is reliable and can be left to take care of house cleaning independently. The IJCSA certified cleaners are also trained vis-à-vis Bloodborne Pathogens. This training includes lectures by medical professionals, ensuring that the cleaners are well educated and take the right safety precautions to not be exposed to or spread any lethal infections, such as hepatitis and HIV.

It is needless to say, trusting any service provider with your home and the health of your family requires that level of assurance and reliance. Nevertheless, it is recommended to consult an IJCSA member provider with your concerns and how they can satisfy your house cleaning needs.

Providing excellent customer service means going the extra mile in making sure a customer is happy and satisfied with a company’s products or services. It also involves providing service to a customer in a timely, pleasant manner. In order to provide excellent customer service, one needs superb communication and problem resolution skills. Experts in customer services relations have further defined customer services as the assistance provided by a business and its employees to the people who use or buy its products and services.  Customer service can range from assisting customers with purchases to solving their problems online or helping customers in choosing the right chemicals to clean their homes or businesses. The most important rule in providing excellent customer service is to be friendly and the Janitorial companies that are members of IJCSA understands this principle more than any other group worldwide due to their exposure to IJCSA’s suite of certification courses.

Every member of the organization understands and sell their products and services with confidence and in-depth knowledge. Listening is probably one of the simplest and most effective ways to provide excellent customer service. Sometimes customers just need to be heard. Regardless of how well or how good you think you know the Janitorial industry and the reliability of the services you offer, a customer may present a problem or make an observation you didn’t consider. Listening attentively gives a good customer services provider the ability to assess and analyse what is being said before answering. Janitorial companies that are privileged to be members of the IJCSA have built their companies understanding this key principle.

    • ·     Always Say thank you

Saying thank you, saying thanks for calling or thanks for soliciting our services are not difficult gestures and they go a long way. IJCSAhave for the 16 years they have existed consistently thanked members for joining the Association and companies that are members of the Association have demonstrated their thankfulness to their loyal customers in a number of innovative ways. IJCSA members are well trained in customer services and have done well in the janitorial industry to thank their customers. Relative to excellent customer services particularly in the Janitorial industry, encouraging feedback is crucial. Asking for feedback allows you to sharpen your services and make it better. This is the standard operating procedures for Janitorial organizations associated with the IJCSA.

Finally, The International Janitorial Cleaning Services Association known around the world as IJCSA was formed to represent a lucrative and rapidly growing janitorial industry. IJCSA’s database comprised of custodians, janitors, residential cleaners, small family run businesses, medium sized cleaning firms, and large cleaning and janitorial corporations with several locations. The IJCSA is no fly-by-night organization. Apart from representing one of the fastest growing industries worldwide today IJCSA has been training professional women and men online longer than anyone else in the industry. To build this type of reputation doesn’t happen overnight. To have such a large database of Janitorial companies of all sizes demonstrates the level of commitment and excellent customer services over the years. Emerging from just seventeen (17) with humble beginnings to currently training hundreds of persons around the world in areas that are deemed critical to the continuing survival of the industry is commendable.

But the IJCSA is not a perfect organization but its timely responses to members inquiry, its appeal to members to make suggestions and assist each other’s development, its forums to help stimulate ideas or even to find answers for commonly asked questions are commendable. It greetings and introductions and the services it offers to members without additional cost cannot be compared with all of the other janitorial associations existing today.             After watching the video and doing a little research, Bloodborne pathogen certification is very important. So many people can be affected by one person not being properly trained on how to clean and dispose of contaminated materials. This certification not only is good for working in healthcare, but anytime you may have to clean someones blood or body fluid anywhere.

The universal precaution technique I think should be practiced at all times. Its basically treating everything thing as if it is contaminated and being extra cautious. I think applying that way of thinking every time you perform a cleaning minimizes mistakes and ensures that necessary precautions are being taking to limit exposure of Bloodborne Pathogens.

I recommend this certification for all in the industry. I will be making sure all team members get this certification and implemented into. the way we attack or job.
