Pathogens are a type of microorganism that spreads viral and bacterial diseases. These diseases when present in human blood and body fluids are known as blood borne pathogens, and can spread from one person to another. The most serious types of blood borne diseases are the hepatitis B and hepatitis C , which can cause liver damage; and HIV, which is responsible for causing AIDS.
Bloodborne pathogens training is essential for all personnel who work with or around potentially harmful things (including blood) and environments on a regular basis. Bloodborne pathogen certification is vitally important for protecting the safety and health of professionals. doing these training assigned by your employer ensures employees are qualified to work in this specialized environment.
According to OSHA, it is against regulations for employers to send workers into a hazardous environment, without the proper preparation and training. Bloodborne pathogen certification is one important step employers can take to protect their workforce and their facility from fines and legalities.

Customer service is the interaction(s) between a customer and a service and/or product provider prior, during and after the sale. You don’t have to have a customer service representative title to provide quality customer service. Nor does the service and/or product provider have to be an employee… the service and/or product provider can be the owner of the business. Providing quality service is essential as it can accentuate your reputationand retention.

IJCSA values quality customer service overall but most importantly in the janitorial industry. When customers decide to purchase and use your products or services their decision is based on its perceived value. Perceived value is the customers’ evaluation of the ability for the product or service to meet their needs and expectations compared to the competitors.

The education and training of staff in the area of bloodborne pathogens is critical in maintaining a healthy workforce. The hidden dangers are all too real and can have life changing consequences to anyone affected. These potential consequences not only effect the company but more importantly the employee and their loved ones.

Proper training arms staff with the knowledge needed to effectively protect themselves and  work in areas where pathogens exist. Without proper training members can cross contaminate other areas of the facility as well as other staff or facility occupants. Furthermore, exposure to bloodborne pathogens can be brought home exposing loved ones to potentially fatal or life changing illnesses. Examples would be Hepatitis which can live outside the body for a significant amount of time. Most recently, SARS Cov-2 (COVID 19) has entered our lives with devastating effects seen across the globe. Training protects employees our patrons and the community.
