    • Bloodborne pathogens training is critical for protecting the safety and health of health care workers and other professionals at risk of exposure to bloodborne deseases. BBP training teaches them to guard themselves and their coworkers against infection and other pathogen dangers. Bloodborne pathogens are infectious microorganisms in human blood that can cause disease in humans. These pathogens include, but are not limited to, hepatitis B (HBV), hepatitis C (HCV) and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Needlesticks and other sharps-related injuries may expose workers to bloodborne pathogens. Workers in many occupations, including first responders, housekeeping personnel in some industries, nurses and other healthcare personnel, all may be at risk for exposure to bloodborne pathogen. According to OSHA definition, “Bloodborne Pathogen” (BPs)are infectious microorganisms in human blood that can cause disease in humans. These pathogens include, but are not limited to, hepatitis B (HBV), hepatitis C (HCV) and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)”

The BPs are kind of ‘Silent Killer’. Their illness symptoms can be developed sometimes years after the infection event. Hence, Workers must be aware for this fact and understand the need to repeat again and again safety instructions and guidance.

As much the health risk found in BPs is high, as much is the unawareness for them. This exactly due to the fact, cleaning and housekeeping is about getting into contact with trash left behind human action. "This is part of the Work" our brain tell us. We must get into the d . As in driving, which is risk-involved activity naturally, our brain directed us to ignore risks and disturbances that are not immediate. In such way, PBs sources of risk are usually ignored.

Part of the solution of getting over the “Routine is the Enemy (RIE)” problem, is to refer for any element or surface, having the chance of carrying body liquids or blood as ‘BPs contaminated ‘. In such way, any surface or element coming in contact with human body liquids, will be treated according to the OSHA regulations as contaminated stuff. In this way, we will eliminate much of the 'RIE psychological effect' and always be at the safe-side regarding BPs risks. This will help us also, to fulfill our part in preventing infectious diseases and their spread in the cleaning-environment.

Following the golden-rule says: “Being aware to problem is 50% of its solution”, we must be in contact awareness to the BPs risks. At the moment we are aware, just few had to be done to be at the Safe-Side. Widely speaking is to follow the OSHA set of precautions and standards directed “to reduce or eliminate the hazards of occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens” (OSHA BPs and Needlestick Prevention).

I own a commercial cleaning company. I have no previous experience professionally cleaning carpets. I have only ever used the cheaper at-home carpet shampooers or the ones you can rent daily from Wal-Mart.   I do not intend to ever open a full time carpet cleaning business. With that being said, I am still glad to complete this carpet cleaning certification program.

I intend to subcontract out carpet cleaning jobs from time. I want to be able to still offer my clients carpet cleaning when I notice that it needs to be done. I just don’t intend to actually do the work myself.

The knowledge of bloodborne pathogens for cleaning employees and staff helps protect from the possible risk of being exposed to blood or other infectious material.OSHA's Bloodborne Standard training and knowledge will help ensure the safety if exposure occurs while cleaning.Knowing the Bloodborne Pathogens Standard (29 CFR 1910.1030) will help minimize or eliminate the risk all together.

The use of training standards precaution aima to teach cleaning employees and staff on the importance of properly handling infectious articles.Knowing how to properly utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) can be very effective if exposed to bloodborne or airborne viruses. OSHA's PPE standards are gloves, gowns, masks, eye protection(googles),and face shields. It will also play a vital role in cleaning employees and staff knowing how to properly place all potential infectious material and contaminated items away in OSHA's closable containers or bags.Training of how to properly wash hands or other potential exposed body parts is also vital in the safety or cleaning employees and staff.

Having a knowledge and training of the three most common bloodborne pathogens will definetly be beneficial to cleaning employees & staff if exposure occurs. They are Human Immunodeficiency(HIV),Hepatitis B(HBV),and Hepatitis C(HCV).Training must be done by employers that have cleaning employees and staff that are exposed to blood or other potential infectious materials(OPIM) regardless of prior training or education. If OSHA's Standards of Universal Precaution,Engineering Controls,Work Practice Controls,PPE,and Housekeeping Procedures are implimented, the knowledge and training will be highly effective for cleaning employees and staff in the eniviroment of bloodborne pathogena and infectious material.

Every person should only perform natural green cleaning because it will improve the lively hood of all living creatures.

Green cleaning products have been proven to improve indoor air quality and cognitive function to name two from a long list. Science has consistently proven to us the benefits of using green cleaning products. The use of these products is growing and expected to continue for the foreseeable future.

Green cleaning provides us with a healthier space that we use and we know it's better for the environment. But we don't really stop to think how it impacts the ecosystem all the way down to the microscopic level. Many times when were standing in the cleaning aisle in the store we think will this get the job done and how much is it. We're not considering the impact on the ecosystem. Think of all the ways cleaning products can reach this delicate system. The rinsing of bottles, leftovers in discarded bottles that make their way into our water and soil. What about accidents involving derailed trains or semis that have spilled their contents.

Indoor air quality is or should be a huge concern for all of us. Poor indoor air quality can have immediate and long term effects. Immediate effects can include irritation of the eyes, nose, throat and cause headaches, dizziness, fatigue and asthma. These immediate effects are usually short term, once the person is removed from the space or area they will begin to improve, while others may need treatment. Some people may not realize they're suffering from indoor air pollution, because the symptoms can mimic those of colds, flus and other viral diseases.

Long-term effects can show up years after, either from long period or repeated exposure. Some of these long-term exposure effects can include cancer, heart diseases and respiratory diseases like COPD and lung cancer are just two.

According to the World Health Organization household air pollution was responsible for an estimated 3.2 million deaths per year in 2020, including over 237,000 deaths of children under the age of 5. Here are some more disturbing facts, among the 3.2 million deaths 32% are from ischemic heart disease, 23% stroke, 21% lower respiratory infection, 19% COPD, 6% lung cancer.

Whether it's too take care of ourselves, family or the environment we should all do our part and make better choices when we purchase cleaning products and/or cleaning services. Be sure to use the link to find a Green Cleaning Certified Company. GREEN CLEANING SERVICES

Why is green cleaning so important to every living creature on earth? Every living creature on earth can be harmed by toxins. These toxins can be found in many different things, but let's talk about cleaning chemicals.

Regular cleaning products can contain toxins that can cause dizziness, lung function issues, organ function issues, birth defects and can cause infertility to name a few. Jaw dropping right? So let me ask you this, why are people still producing, selling, buying and using these products?

It's not just humans that are affected by these toxins. Every creature on earth including microscopic cells are affected which can create a ripple effect or a chain reaction. If cells are affected it effects everything that feeds on them and so on.

Eco-friendly products are free from many of harmful chemicals and have low to no V.O.C's. Be aware of "green washing". These are products that claim they are "green" but are not. Looking for products that are EPA Safer Choice, Green Seal Certified or UL ECO Logo Certified will help you easily tell which products to trust.

You can find many great companies to help you navigate your way through the "green wash" here GREEN CLEANING SERVICES

Medical cleaning practices are essential for maintaining a clean and healthy environment in hospitals, clinics, and other medical facilities. However, these practices can also be implemented into other residential and commercial cleaning settings to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals.

One way to implement medical cleaning practices is by using disinfectants that are effective against a broad range of pathogens. This includes using products with active ingredients such as hydrogen peroxide or quaternary ammonium compounds. Germs are everywhere, not just hospitals. Daycares, schools, workspaces, and homes are contaminated with germs and potential viruses that are easily spread if not cleaned appropriately.

Another important aspect of medical cleaning is proper hand hygiene. This can be applied to other settings by promoting hand washing among employees and customers. Proper PPE (personal protective equipment) for cleaners can prevent the spread of germs and viruses even in the most unassuming of evnironments.

Additionally, implementing regular deep-cleaning procedures can help prevent the spread of germs in high-traffic areas such as bathrooms or kitchens. This includes disinfecting surfaces such as countertops, doorknobs, light switches, and other commonly touched areas.

In conclusion, implementing medical cleaning practices into other residential and commercial settings can help promote a clean and healthy environment for all individuals. By utilizing effective disinfectants, promoting proper hand hygiene and personal protective equipment, and implementing regular deep-cleaning procedures, we can reduce the spread of germs and promote overall health and safety.

Cleaning up mold is a very profitable business, averaging $150 per square foot. This business is safe from recession, because there will always be flooding, water damage, and mold concerns that need to be fixed. Having completing a mold certification program, I will feel confident in my abilities to offer this service, and my clients will have peace of mind as well.

I will need to purchase equipment. I will need a moisture meter, an extraction unit on a truck mount, fans and dehumidifiers, a lot of PPE, and a service van. I will feel good knowing that I am helping people to live healthier lives and to feel better.
