Bringing medical grade disinfectants or cleaning agents to residential or commercial settings will lessen the chances of spreading germs. Hospital grade disinfectants have been proven to kill a wider range of viruses, bacteria and germs that have hitch hiked to high traffic areas. Being bathrooms, family rooms, kitchen medical grade cleaning agents have a higher chance of killing germs/producing a safe environment.

Cleaning from the bottom up prevents cross contamination. Using color coded towels helps maintain hygiene standards. Focusing on high touch surfaces should be cleaned more than others. Making sure a checklist is created ensures that germs won't spread as fast.

WIthout extensive cleaning it produces the risk of spreading viruses and bacteria to not just the patients but to healthcare staff and others. These infections can be life threatening to everyone.

Frequent use of hospital grade disinfects, correct disposal of hazardous waste are all protocols of reducing occupational risk. A clean area is not just about appearance its a front line defense against disease out breaks, cross contamination and exposing to biohazards.

In the cleaning industry, knowledge is just as important as the tools we use. One critical area of understanding is bloodborne pathogens—infectious microorganisms found in human blood that can cause diseases such as hepatitis B, hepatitis C, and HIV. For businesses that provide cleaning services to medical offices, dental clinics, and other professional spaces, proper training in handling biohazards is essential for both safety and compliance.

At Mama T’s Cleaning, we recognize the responsibility we hold in maintaining safe and sanitary environments. Our staff is trained in OSHA’s Bloodborne Pathogens Standard, ensuring that they know how to properly handle potential biohazards, dispose of waste safely, and protect themselves and others from exposure. While traditional cleaning products may rely on harsh chemicals to disinfect, we take a different approach—using eco-friendly, non-toxic solutions that effectively eliminate pathogens while protecting human health and the environment.

Proper training in bloodborne pathogens helps prevent workplace injuries, reduces the risk of contamination, and ensures that cleaning professionals can perform their jobs with confidence. It also reinforces the trust our clients place in us, knowing that their spaces are not only clean but also handled with the highest standards of safety and care. By prioritizing both health and environmental responsibility, Mama T’s Cleaning continues to uphold our commitment to “Cleanly Caring” for our community.

It is of utmost importance that every cleaning staff member understand and be aware of the hazards of bloodborne pathogens. Bloodborne pathogens are pathogenic microorganisms that are present in human blood and can cause disease in humans such as HBV or HIV. By following OSHA standards, infection by exposure can be avoided.

Universal precautions help to negate the possibility of infections. When we assume that all fluids or blood are contaminated, we are much more likely to avoid contaminating ourselves when cleaning. Practices such as labeling laundry and proper use of PPE will help us to contain contamination. Washing hands is always the best stop gap to personal contamination, but disinfecting surfaces and containers used to clean contaminated areas are also helpful.

Written exposure control plans are mandated by OSHA to be made available to all cleaning staff. Guidelines such as never eating, drinking or smoking in contaminated areas will reduce contamination possibilities. another important practice is to never compress trash which may sometimes come as a natural reaction to a full waste basket. Exercising extra precautions such as these will aid in a safe and healthy workplace for all janitorial staff.

When it comes to healthcare facilities, cleanliness isn’t just a matter of presentation—it’s a matter of life and death. Hospitals, clinics, and other medical environments are full of high-touch surfaces and areas where germs can quickly spread if not properly managed. From exam rooms and surgical suites to restrooms and waiting areas, every surface plays a part in patient safety. Without proper cleaning and disinfection, healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) like MRSA or C. diff can spread rapidly, putting vulnerable patients and healthcare workers at serious risk.

That’s why healthcare cleaning requires a level of precision and consistency that goes beyond everyday janitorial work. Medical cleaning professionals follow strict protocols using hospital-grade disinfectants, color-coded cloths to avoid cross-contamination, and methods aligned with CDC and OSHA standards. It’s not just about wiping things down—it’s about infection control, safety compliance, and creating a clean environment that supports healing. In facilities where immune systems are already compromised, one missed step can lead to serious consequences.

Whether you're managing a hospital, dental office, or outpatient clinic, it’s important to work with cleaning professionals who understand the specialized needs of the healthcare industry. You can find vetted providers who specialize in healthcare facility cleaning on the Janitorial Service Directory. These companies bring the right training, tools, and systems to keep your facility clean, compliant, and safe. Check out the Janitorial Service Directory to find trusted healthcare cleaning services in your area—it’s a smart investment in patient care and peace of mind.

Picture this: A fun store you regularly go to. You walk in, always greeted by the long-time employee with an "Oh hi!!" and an excited wave. "Good to see you again, how've you been??"

This greeting genuinely fills you with a warmth that says "This person is a friend, I love this store! Let's have a good time and maybe get a couple things!."

Now picture this: Same store, same products you love, but no greeting. You walk in expecting a fresh "Hello!" only to be ignored. The employee heard you come in, but continues to do their busy work without acknowledging your presence. You recognize it feels different and you only spend a few minutes in the store without buying anything.

What’s the difference between the two? It’s not just the greeting, it’s the Love that that first example’s employee presents, compared with being ignored in the second example. Adding a touch of love with every interaction will boost your client's attachment to your company. It is not enough to say “Hi Welcome” then go back to work. Especially if there’s only one customer in the store. It is your responsibility and opportunity to show this person it is a safe place to spend their money as well as an exciting place to be, regardless of what you sell.

IJCSA employees are identical to the first example’s explanation of great customer service. Regardless of what's happening internally, When a customer walks into the door, we halt our process to acknowledge the potential customer. At IJCSA, we know that putting the customer’s priorities first is the key to making a solidified sale and a happy relationship with our customers.

What happens at IJCSA when we do not live up to your expectations? Full acknowledgment of our mistakes and a passionate effort to repair the damage. A group effort to retain your happiness with a clear goal to provide exceptional service by adding that touch of love to each and every customer interaction.
