Great customer service is a must for a janitorial cleaning company because our customers are people too.  Bottom line, to truly master excellence in janitorial cleaning, a company must master great customer service.

The keys to great customer service are:

    1)  You have to listen to the customer to find out exactly what they think makes a building clean and well maintained.  Each customer and facility have their own different needs.

    2)  You want to document notes to remember the key elements about their Industry, facility and even the individual them selves to help you to meet and exceed that particular Customer's needs.

    3)  Continually maintain open communication with your customer so that concerns or problems can be identified and resolved quickly.  The reason for this open communication is because you do not want your customer to look somewhere else for excellent service while all this time you could be providing it with GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.

All IJCSA members are fully committed to putting the Customer first and Great Customer Service is priority with us.  For Great Customer Service from a IJCSA Member look at this http://ijcsa.org/Find-A-Cleaning-Service-Janitorial-Service

Customer service is as much a part of our job as cleaning service. If we don't know how to speak to our clients with confidence, expertise and compassion, we're doomed before we start. People want to trust us, to be assured that we know what we're doing and can be trusted in their space.

The members of IJCSA have been through extensive training, so that we are able to provide absolute professionalism. Rest assured that we will not only provide a thorough cleaning, but that we are educated in which products to use on specific surfaces or in unique cases. We have a network at our fingertips, so if I can't answer a question or provide a service, I will find someone who can.

Customer service isn't about knowing everything. It's about assuring the customer that they can put their trust in you.

Bloorborne pathogens can be very dangerous and sometimes lethal. You can contract infections in the workplace in many different ways.  Infection is preventable or can be minimized if proper precautions and protocols are followed.  The first step is to know your surroundings and use caution.

The requirements for employers are to develop a written control plan designed to eliminate or minimize exposure. The plan should outline what employers must to do to prevent the spread of infectious diseases including bloodborne pathogens, and it must be available to all employees. Also it should be mandatory for all employees dealing with bloodborne pathogens to wear appropriate PPE including gloves, eye protection and masks.

Personnel dealing with bloodborn pathogens can never be too careful when it comes to dealing with blood or other infectious items in the workplace. Being consistent in following proper procedures and treating all bodily fluids as dangerous will offer the protection needed to safely perform their jobs and minimize risks to others and themselves.

Cleaning is the first line of defense against germs and viruses, including Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI). In healthcare facilities, this is even more important as they are more prevalent with more at-risk people. Blood and organic matter are often present in healthcare and can contain bloodborne pathogens which increase the risks to patients, workers, and cleaners.

See more information about bloodborne pathogens here.

Proper procedures are vital to protect both cleaning staff, medical employees, and patients. Proper procedures include wearing PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as latex gloves and, when applicable, a mask and gown. Additional precautions such as being aware of SHARPS and frequent hand washing are also paramount.

Knowing what to clean and how to clean it, using disinfectants and sterilization techniques for "hot spot" areas that are frequent points of contact are vital to preventing the spread of disease. Proper cleaning technique and chemicals in healthcare facilities is important to all of our health.

Cleanliness which is critical for everybody’s health. Janitors and cleaning staff play a huge role in our daily lives by providing a healthy environment by preventing the spread of pathogens, improving indoor air quality, and maintaining a pleasing aesthetic. Keeping spaces clean, organized, safe and hygienic is what my business services excels at the best.

Custodians and janitors are essential employees that provide and maintain a clean and healthy environment. Custodians are trained to use proper cleaning techniques that reduce or eliminate pathogens that cause illness. A healthy environment is achieved by lowering the risk of getting sick. Custodians are trained to handle the clean-up of bodily fluids. They dispose of them properly and reduce the risk of contamination to everyone from blood borne pathogens.

A healthy environment is also achieved by reducing the number of irritants that effect chronic health conditions such as asthma and allergies. Custodians use proper cleaning methods to reduce the number of allergens present in the air and to reduce the amount of dust particles in the air which improves indoor air quality.

Clean spaces look good and make people feel good. For example, some businesses rely on my cleaning business to keep their buildings in a presentable condition. Having their building looking presentable and free from clutter is important for impressing clients and customers. Cleanliness is a vital part of keeping the workforce going. When a business has a highly trained cleaning staff encourages employees, they feel better, and get sick less often which helps maintain production. Schools, doctors’ offices, hospitals and many important places rely on a janitors’ proper cleaning methods to protect the health of their building occupants.
