Janitor finds another threat at Concord Junior High School‎

10 May 2011 6:52 AM | IJCSA - (Administrator)

A student has been arrested after another threat of a school shooting put Concord Junior High School on edge.

The student who was arrested is now in the Elkhart County Juvenile Detention Center. The Superintendent of Concord Community Schools updated parents with an automated phone call at 6 a.m. Tuesday morning.

According to our reporting partners at the Elkhart Truth, another shooting threat was found in a bathroom Monday afternoon at the Junior High.

Captain Jim Bradberry said that janitors found the note threatening a school shooting to take place this morning.

Bradberry said the school had alerted parents through automated phone calls and that police were preparing to take preventive actions similar to last Friday's shooting threat.

Bradberry said police are investigating whether the two threats are connected.

Last Friday, extra police were brought in to the school as a precaution.

A 16-year-old girl was also arrested last Friday for making a bomb threat at Concord High School.
