In order to minimize the risk of exposure to yourself and others its important to know about bloodborne pathogens. If you happen to be exposed then you are at risk for various infectious diseases such as but not limited to: HBV, HAV, and HIV. Any human blood or body fluids can contain bloodborne pathogens and should be treated as such as defined by Universal Precautions.

You can protect yourself and others by utilizing proper personal protection equipment, which should be supplied by your employer. Goggles, masks, and gloves are a few of the PPEs that get used very frequently by any and all employees that are at risk of exposure of bloodborne pathogens. You should also wash your hands and dispose of any sharps in proper receptacle, and by properly labeling and color coding all containers.

Being aware of bloodborne pathogens protects employees who are at a reasonable risk to come into contact with them while doing their job. After employees are trained on bloodborne pathogens and understand their employers responsibility to provide them with necessary PPE, vaccinations, and post treatment, (all of which are free to the employee) it will make it easier to understand the steps to report a potential exposure to their supervisor or employer. This will make working in environments with blood and body fluids safer for everyone involved.

Like modern cleaners, our responsibility is to offer our customers a value service every day.  That is the first benefit of having a Mold Cleaning Certification.  We cover many areas of the buildings and offices and we can be the first professional to identify an area of mold.  The first step to start a mold cleaning operation is to communicate with the owner or manager and inform him about our discovery and the correction actions to take.  If the problem is a result of situations out of our control like leaks, ventilation problems or advance mold problems we need to recommend our client for a fast action calling professionals to correct the problems to avoid compromise of the health of the employees.

On the other side we can conclude after inspecting the mold that the area  doesn’t represent risk to the health of  us or our employees and we can take basic actions as clean, disinfect and dry surfaces. I recommend taking photos after-before to show results to the customer and continue supervising the area.

Green cleaning can be beneficial to the environment, employees, and our clients. Unlike harsh chemicals that can irritate skin and cause health problems, green cleaning is safer because of the ingredients used. It also has the potential to reduce waste and lessens your carbon footprint on the planet. When using traditional cleaning products your chances of developing asthma are significantly greater.

Everyday products that you can find in your houses like lemon juice, vinegar, and baking soda can be used for green cleaning. Using these everyday products are more cost-effective than traditional products. This method also works for cleaning businesses seeking fewer expenses. Green cleaning has many benefits, but the most important is how they are less harmful than traditional cleaners. Keep our employees, clients, and the environment safe should be the top priority.

Being green cleaning certified will benefit our company by increasing business. Other businesses that are looking for cleaning services will most likely choose the most qualified one. Without this qualification, we would be giving a disservice to customers by not having the proper training.

Green cleaning certification also provides our company with knowledge of how traditional products affect the environment and everyone around us. As earth dwellers, it should be our duty to ensure that the environment in which we live is safe and clean. We should protect our planet so that generations after us can enjoy it.

The majority of the cleaning services can be very basic. These cleaners just do basic vacuuming, dusting, disinfecting of hard surfaces, moping, and sweeping. The outcome of doing this results in the average quality of overall cleanliness. Most cleaning services don't have proper certifications.

Finding the right cleaning services that have the right qualifications doesn't have to be difficult. IJCSA has hundreds of cleaning services that are qualified for the task at hand. Not only are they qualified, but they are eager to serve your needs. They also can provide you with green cleaning services.

If your ever in need of professional cleaning services IJCSA should be your choice. The training given is by far top of their class and highly recommended. With professionals, available every day of the week is, even more, a reason to call.

OSHA” stands for Occupational Safety and Health Administration. In 1991 OSHA established a standard of occupational practices regarding bloodborne pathogens, which they updated in 2001. As part of the standard, OSHA bloodborne pathogens training was made mandatory for certain businesses, primarily those in the healthcare sector.

Any employer whose employees have a reasonable risk of exposure are required to provide OSHA bloodborne pathogens training for their staff. In the case of a commercial cleaning company, that would include anyone who cleans or otherwise decontaminates an area where there was likely to have been blood, such as a physician’s office, a dentist’s office, or even a construction site.

The reason for your employees to be trained in such is for their safety.

Any custodial staff that handles sharps bins, biohazard waste, or other potentially contaminated objects should know how to protect themselves against—and what to do in the case of—exposure. Some of the most important things an employee can learn are things like exposure determination, exposure control plans, the effectiveness of personal protective equipment, what to do in the event of exposure, and medical and reporting follow-up after exposure.

Another benefit is that your clients can rest easy knowing you have a team properly trained in handling contaminated material.

Sometimes there are extraordinary events that require professional help. Life puts us into a situation that we simply cannot handle on our own. What do you do when the clean up you need requires much more than a wet rag and soap? There are times when even walking into a room is just not safe. Most of us don't have any idea who to call. After all, most janitorial services are not equipped to handle the potentially dangerous biohazard situations.

The one thing that you need to do at this point is leap to action. Every day that biohazards sit unattended the worse they get. Whether the issue is a crime scene, suicide, animal related or hoarding, natural or accidental death, or just plain nastiness and terrible stench, etc. you know when things are really bad; beyond a simple soap and water cleanse. Do not hesitate to call a company that can help.

The IJCSA has certified professionals that are equipped to handle almost any situation. Target 19 is prepared to do what it takes to return your property to a usable state. If Target 19 is out too far to help you and you need a Biohazard Professional, you can pull up the directory and find companies that are equipped to deal with the clean-up of virtually any scenario.

Customer Service is one of the most important factors of running a business just after the product or service you are selling. IJCSA members pride themselves in giving customers the best experience they possibly can. As a new member of the association, utilizing the L.A.S.T. approach and the 7 customer service rules will play key role in building and maintaining good healthy relationships with my clients.

Good Customer Service consists of listening without interruption, apologizing for the bad experience, solving the issue or connecting the client to someone who can , and thanking the client for addressing the issue and simply for their time. I whole heartedly believe that holding onto these principles will only bring positive results and repeat customers for all businesses.
