Here at Clean Freak Cleaning Services LLC we take great pride in being knowlegable and properly educated on all things cleaning. We are working to expand our knowledge on many health risks related to cleaning services and the services that we provide. With that being said we are currently in the middle of a pandemic. The true cause/source of the virus outbreak is not entirely known at this time, but we know that it is a virus and is spreading by person to person contact, and or the contact of this virus on any given item or surface.

That all being said we do know that we do have some control in this matter by taking a few precautions. Those being staying 6 feet or more away from others, especially those that may be ill, washing our hands frequently, using hand sanitizer and using Personal Protective Equipment.

Knowing about the source and spread of bloodborne pathogens in critical, especially at this time. The reason being is so is to prevent events such as the one we are experiencing today. By using the proper precautions going forward in the work place we not only protect ourselves from becoming infected with illness and disease, but those around us.

It is vital that cleaning employees and staff know about bloodborne pathogens for many reasons. Having the right knowledge and attitude towards bloodborne pathogens ensures all employees take universal precautions to protect themselves and those around them. Cleaning employees and staff are at a particularly increased risk of being exposed to these sorts of pathogens. As an employer, the health of employees and customers alike is of the utmost importance. Making certain that employees are properly educated about bloodborne pathogens is the first step in ensuring everyone’s safety.

Bloodborne pathogens are disease-causing organisms that can be present in human blood and body fluids. They are microscopic, and therefore it is impossible to know whether any bodily fluids are contaminated or not. Employees and cleaning staff must be aware of this so that they can protect themselves; if responding to any situation in which they may come into contact with body fluids, they must take proper precautions, including using personal protective equipment. As an employer, it is of utmost importance to develop an Exposure Control Plan to assist employees in knowing what the proper steps to take are should they ever be exposed to bloodborne pathogens.

Mindset is the most important aspect when it comes to safety. Those who are properly educated about the risks of bloodborne pathogens will take the proper precautions to protect themselves. As an employer, making sure that your employees are aware of proper procedures regarding bloodborne pathogens can help keep everyone safe.

All molds can cause health problems, since they produce allergens and irritants that cause reactions in humans. Some molds also produce toxins (mycotoxins) as part of their defense mechanisms. What is important to know in dealing with remediation of mold is that it remains allergenic and toxigenic even in a non-viable state

As an Industrial Hygienist having the experience and education to properly identify and mitigate these problems is an asset to initiate this service for my customers.

When dealing with mold it is not enough to just kill mold by, for example, applying a biocide like bleach. A good remediation plan will identify the source of moisture, remove the mold and spores, and prevent the recurrence of the problem. Such removal work must be contained, like asbestos removal, to minimize contamination of other parts of the building. This type of remediation when done properly is beneficial to our community, business and families to prevent those illnesses caused by mold to sensitive individuals.
