The difference between a good cleaning company, and a great cleaning company can be as simple as a smile, or a friendly gesture by one of your employees. Whether you hold the door open for a tenant, or you pick something up that a guest has dropped, these little things can change someone's day. How do you show someone you acknowledge them when you are social distancing and wearing a mask? Friendly attitude, positive reinforcement, and greeting your stakeholders goes a long way.

All the members at IJCSA have gone through the training modules, and they are here because they care. At FBM, INC. we pride ourselves on our customer service. Our staff has been highly trained to treat every customer as if they were our only customer. Every once in a while we run into the "tough" customer, who is not satisfied with our service. We always listen to their needs and find a solution where everyone is happy. They are our priority, even if it takes us longer than normal to fix the problem.

At FBM, Inc, we are here to for you because we all know that good service is hard to find.

In order to protect our safety, we have to familiarize what bloodborne pathogens are. Bloodborne pathogens are small bacteria in your body that can cause diseases in humans when contacted with another person’s blood. Diseases such as hepatitis B, HIV, and many other things. Bloodborne pathogens can access through your mouth, nose, eyes, and cut scars on your skin. So you have to be cautious to always wear gloves, wear glasses to protect your eyes, and wearing a mask when you’re coming across bodily fluids especially blood. bloodborne

It’s important to take safety and extra precautions when dealing with this type of stuff. Talking with your client to address yours and their safety on how to clean the mess. When we acknowledge the importance of bloodborne pathogens we can cut down the number of threats. OSHA’s bloodborne pathogen standards teach us to act like everything we encounter with fluids should be approached as if the fluid is contaminated with blood. It’s important to label things, color code and etc when we are dealing with the laundry to make sure we are not mixing it up.

In conclusion, when using the universal precautions we are protecting ourselves and those around us. Make sure we are using the proper things to protect ourselves and using the best cleaning tools to disinfect the area so the next clients won’t catch it. After doing so, make sure to thoroughly was your hands for at least 30 seconds with hand soap. It reduces the spread and diseases. Educating yourself and your coworkers will help make a stronger team to properly clean up the mess and staying away from the bloodborne pathogens.

OSHA developed bloodborne standards for any industry that could be at risk of introducing themselves to bloodborne pathogens (not just in doctors offices, and hospitals). Knowing all of the ways to prevent exposure will keep you and your staff healthy and massively reduce the risk of getting infected with HBV, HIV, or other bloodborne pathogens.

It can be contracted when bloodborne pathogens enter mucous membranes (mouth, nose, eyes), or open cuts on parts of the body. Following universal precautions makes it easy to protect yourself from coming in contact with infected fluids.

When you know about OSHA’s practices and regulations, you are better able to prepare yourself, your clients, and your staff prior to possible infection risk. Staff will be trained in PPE wear, proper procedures for trash removal, and cleaning of areas where infection can be.

There are steps that need to be taken in case of a situation where you or your staff comes in contact with a bloodborne pathogen. When you are aware of bloodborne pathogens and the protocol to follow in order to prevent exposure, or if one is unfortunately exposed, you are showing the massive amount of importance your clients, staff, and business are to you- so that all can move safely, and you can keep everyone healthy.
