Don't keep the knowledge of bloodborne pathogens from employees.

22 Oct 2020 4:28 PM | Anonymous

The importance of cleaning employees & staff knowing about bloodborne pathogens is to reduce or eliminate the hazards of occupational exposure to life threatening tragedies.  In the workplace, a variety of human activities occur from day-to-day that may put any employee in contact with bloodborne pathogens. Ignorance to, and improper management of potentially hazardous material could be the difference between death, enormous medical expenses, lawsuits, and life.

Bloodborne pathogens are not only found with the scary items (blood, needles), they are also in feces and vomit.  A holiday party where someone vomited or cut themselves with the cake knife exposes everyone to bloodborne pathogens.  Management has a responsibility to keep all employees reasonable safe which may present itself in different forms.

It is of utmost importance to call awareness to the irreparable damage that may be caused by bloodborne pathogens at the workplace.  Proper disinfection, disposal and handling are essential to preserve human life for the well-being of the entire company.
