Janitors and Janitorial staff are responsible for cleaning and disinfecting spaces and areas that people use, such as schools and offices. By keeping these spaces clean and disinfected the Janitors and Janitorial staff help maintain a healthy and safe environment for the people that use the facility. In well maintained facilities, the work that Janitors and Janitorial staff perform mostly goes unnoticed.

Washrooms are clean and well stocked with supplies, halls are clean and free of debris, garbage cans emptied regularly, cafeterias are cleaned and ready for the next usage, the grounds are well maintained and the facility running smoothly. All of this for the benefit of the people that use the facility to keep them safe and healthy.

Janitors and Janitorial staff also help to maintain the image of their facility to make it more welcoming and comfortable for those that use it.
