Transitioning To Green Cleaning

12 May 2017 1:04 PM | Deleted user

As a service provider, the health and safety of our customers and our environment is our highest priority. To implement an effective green cleaning program, it is important to first conduct the proper research needed to obtain a solid understanding of green cleaning and its requirements. The transition to green cleaning should include an audit of current cleaning products and materials to ensure the standards for being green are met. Suppliers for green cleaning products and equipment that meet the required standards must also be identified.

Training all of our service employees in the use of green products and equipment is vital to the success of our program. This also reassures our customers that their property will be handled by staff trained in the use of eco-friendly products.

We will also discuss our green cleaning program with our clients and decision makers whose facility we service. Educating our customers on the benefits of green cleaning and its impact on employees and building occupants can help with re-evaluating current cleaning procedures.

Along with decision makers, we will determine what steps can be taken to modify current cleaning processes that can be converted to the green cleaning program. Implementing ideas such as touchless controls for soap dispensers, faucets and flush valves in restrooms offer benefits of improved hygiene. This reduces the cost of cleaning and eliminates cross contamination which are aligned with the goals of a healthy green cleaning program.
