Washington High gets intense mold cleaning

Atlanta’s school system is spending $264,000 to rid recurring mold from Booker T. Washington High School.

The city Board of Education voted to contract with Epic Response, which will wash and vacuum the school’s technology building.

The building, which was closed this fall because of the mold problem, is scheduled to reopen in January, said Alvah Hardy, executive director for facilities services for Atlanta Public Schools.
