Coulee Custom Cleaning is proud to have achieved IJCSA Master Green Cleaning Certification, representing another important investment in professional education and environmentally responsible cleaning. One of the most valuable lessons from the training is that true green cleaning involves much more than simply choosing a product labeled “green” or “natural.” A comprehensive green cleaning approach considers product selection, chemical usage, cleaning equipment, indoor air quality, water consumption, waste reduction, reusable materials, and the potential effects our cleaning decisions can have on employees, clients, building occupants, and the environment.

The course reinforced the importance of looking at the entire cleaning process. Effective green cleaning means selecting the appropriate product for the soil and surface, using the proper amount, following dilution and application instructions, and giving products sufficient time to work. It also includes practices such as microfiber cleaning systems, HEPA filtration, reducing disposable materials, conserving resources, and avoiding unnecessary chemical use. One particularly interesting lesson is that “natural” does not automatically mean “safe,” just as “chemical” does not automatically mean “dangerous.” Responsible green cleaning requires understanding the product, its concentration and intended use, potential exposure, and whether it is appropriate for the cleaning task.

For Coulee Custom Cleaning, becoming IJCSA Master Green Cleaning Certified is not simply about adding another credential to our name—it is knowledge we can incorporate into our everyday cleaning practices. Through thoughtful product selection, responsible chemical management, HEPA-filtered vacuuming, microfiber systems, environmentally preferable and non-scented options, waste reduction, and surface-appropriate cleaning procedures, we can provide effective cleaning while making environmentally responsible choices whenever practical. Every client and property has different needs, and this advanced green cleaning education strengthens our ability to provide what our name promises: professional cleaning that is genuinely custom.
