Cleaning employees play a key role in maintaining a safe and hygienic environment in the workplace. They are often placed in situations where they may encounter infectious material. Understanding bloodborne pathogens such as HPB, C and HIV can be transmitted through contact with infected blood and bodily fluids. It's very important for their safety and the safety of everyone else.


A small scratch, cut or open wound with infected fluids may result in bloodborne pathogens entering your body and causing severe illness. Training is very important in preventing accidental exposure and limit their risk to bloodborne pathogens.


It's important to utilize all (PPE) i.e., gloves, masks, and protective clothing when dealing with contaminated fluids. Cleaning employees must be knowledgeable about bloodborne pathogens to protect their health, protect others, and maintain compliance with safety regulations.
