Many people are unaware of what true green cleaning products are or how nontoxic they can be. This is largely because most local grocery stores do not carry authentic green cleaning products only “greenwashed” versions that appear eco-friendly but contain harmful ingredients.

Throughout this course, I learned several eye-opening facts. One of the most surprising was that plastic can take up to 1,000 years to decompose, even with direct sunlight. This means a single piece of plastic can outlive countless generations before it fully breaks down. I was also fascinated by the simplicity of making an effective, natural furniture polish using everyday food ingredients such as lemon juice and olive oil. These two nontoxic ingredients are safe enough to consume, yet powerful enough to clean and refresh the home with a bright, natural lemon scent.

Because this was my first green cleaning course, I truly appreciated every piece of valuable information provided. Some details were new to me, while others expanded on knowledge I already had. This experience reaffirmed that knowledge is power and that continuous learning is essential in our industry. I am grateful for the opportunity to grow and look forward to applying this expertise as we strive to win 90% of the contracts we pursue.
