Being Green Cleaning Certified Can Benefit Your Company.

09 Jun 2022 11:36 PM | Robert&Tammy Harris

Being green cleaning certified has many benefits. Being certified gives you knowledge others may not have as well as giving a peace of mind to your clients that you actually know and understand what you are talking about as well as using whether it be chemicals, equipment or practices.

Choosing the right chemical to use for a task is very important. Being certified provides confidence to others that we are able to identify what green chemical we can safely and effectively use for the job.

Many green chemicals may say "green" but may still contain VOC's or other harmful chemicals like Ammonia or Phthalates. Being certified helps us to have more knowledge in these areas where others that are not certified may struggle with.

Many don't realize that environmentally friendly or green products are not regulated by the government, allowing some manufacturers to make you believe that there products are safe or better for the earth. This is referred to as "green washing". There are ways to protect yourself from these deceptive practices. The easiest way is to look for a reputable and independent third party certification like Green Seal, U.S. Eco Logo, etc.

The Companies found in the IJCSA Green Cleaning Directory can navigate their way through the eco friendly products and then select the best ones. These same companies are doing their part in reducing the environmental impact cleaning chemicals play.
