How You Can Implement Medical Cleaning Practices Into Other Residential & Commercial Cleaning Situations

Implementing medical cleaning practices into residential and commercial cleaning would be a great idea. It would be great because germs, bacteria, and bloodborne pathogens are not just in a healthcare environment. These illness causing microorganisms are everywhere.

Wearing PPE like gloves for example should be used when you are cleaning everywhere. It protects you and any possible cross contamination if used properly. Coming into whatever building you are cleaning starting from the left or right and continuing throughout the entire building helps back tracking possibly spreading germs back into areas that have already been cleaned.

Being trained and knowing that there is a difference between cleaning and sanitizing. Cleaning using soap and water or some sort of soap solution to free surfaces of dirt, dust, and other allergens. Sanitizing is the reduction of germs associated with a surface. Cleaning is considered simple, whereas sanitization requires a set of standard procedures to be done. Hence, sanitization is a little more complex than cleaning. However, both processes have to be followed to achieve a safe and clean environment.

Everyone not only cleaners can have a helping hand in making sure germs and viruses stay at a minimum by having good personal hygiene. Staying home when you are sick. Wearing a mask or coughing into elbow when able. Washing and or sanitizing hands to free them of dirt and germs. Let's all stay healthy and minimize the spread of germs by properly cleaning, hiring professionals like the members here on IJCSA site, and just in general taking care of ourselves during ill times.
