UImportance of cleaning & employees & staff knowing about bloodborne pathogens.

03 Nov 2021 8:11 PM | Deleted user

In stopping the spread of deadly bloodborne pathogens, it is important to understand proper cleaning procedures where exposure occurs.

Using the proper cleaning equipment, protective gear, and disposal procedures is best practice in preventing contamination and contraction of diseases.

Always use new gloves and dispose in correct bins in different areas. Also handwashing after handling contaminated items. Labeling contaminated items correctly by color coding bins. As well as as understanding use of chemicals to disinfect the areas properly. Being aware of hidden needles in laundry or in items that are being handled. Any potential exposure, thru cuts, eyes, nose, and mouth, must immediately be reported. Symptoms of certain bloodborne pathogens can appear years later; so conciously following steps to cleaning is imperative to keep you and everyone as safe as possible.
