Custodians, janitors and cleaners are all exposed to blood and other bodily fluids daily through handling of laundry, cleaning human waste and spills.. It is important for everyone working in the cleaning industry to be trained in dealing with bodily fluids when working  It's also important to make sure all workers are trained in first aid .in healthcare

If an exposure occurs, it is vital that the proper first aid, reporting and documentation process is followed to ensure safety of workers.  Following OSHA's standards helps to keep everyone safe from many infectious diseases. Employees properly trained make a difference in the safety of everyone.
