FORT WORTH -- A former North Crowley Ninth Grade Campus employee has been arrested in connection with the assault of a school janitor over Facebook postings that he made about the woman.

Voncia Deshae Johnson, 33, was arrested last week and charged Thursday with assault causing bodily injury stemming from the alleged after-hours attack at the campus of Jason Starr, 23, on Dec. 5.

A "directive to apprehend" -- similar to a juvenile arrest warrant -- has also been issued for the woman's teenage son, but he had not been arrested as of late Monday afternoon, said Sharron Neal, a police spokeswoman. He is not being identified because he is a juvenile.

Police and fire officials investigated a suspicious package found at Mary Eyre Elementary School in southeast Salem shortly after a suspicious man was arrested near the school grounds Wednesday afternoon.

A student at Mary Eyre found a sealed plastic soda bottle full of liquid on school grounds about an hour and a half after Jerry Simpson, 27, was taken into custody by Salem Police. Janitorial staff at the school discarded the bottle, but discovered later in the day that the contents of the bottle were reacting, causing it to swell.
