Haso USA Inc. plans to invest $7 million in a facility in Peachtree Corners at 2850 Northwoods Parkway in Atlanta Georgia. The jobs will be mainly in manufacturing and distribution, the news release from Gov. Nathan Deal’s office said.

Haso USA makes private label cleaning products for Japanese retailers and also is a contract manufacturing partner for large consumer products companies S.C. Johnson & Son and Procter & Gamble, the release said.

“In terms of choosing a location for our U.S. production facility, a large part of our decision to move to metro Atlanta was based on the relationships we developed,” Haso USA Inc. President Yuji Sogawa said in the release.

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – What do you use to get your home clean?

Would you try only using water and a cloth to remove dirt and germs?

Blogger Becky Rapinchuk is known as “The Clean Mama.” She’s been using natural cleaning products in her home for quite some time. Now a growing number of cleaning tools are aimed at taking the ‘green clean’ one step further. Products on the market, many made with microfiber, are designed to work with water – without need for chemical cleaners.

“For just every day wiping down the counters, cleaning surfaces, water and a microfiber cloth is sufficient,” said Rapinchuk.

John Owen, a senior household analyst for Mintel, said their research shows 37-percent of adults would be interested in using microfiber and water to clean dirt, grease and bacteria. He added that 12-percent already use microfiber products on a daily basis...

"It's not just another day on the job," company Vice President Brad Smith said.

"Obviously, I think anyone involved would be worried -- not necessarily worried, but cautious. We've had a lot of discussions and team meetings about how we're going to attack the situation. But we run into hazardous chemicals and things that could hurt us probably more often than most," Smith said.

The company specializes in hazmat services as well as industrial and crime scene cleaning and power washing.

Smith has a crew of six to eight people on the scene at the east Dallas apartment complex where Ebola patient Thomas Eric Duncan, the first person to be diagnosed with the deadly disease in the U.S., had been staying, he said.

They're wearing Level B protective equipment, including fully encapsulated suits and a full face respirator with a shield. Duncan's apartment is a two-bedroom and approximately 1,000 square feet.

"We're in Phase One cleaning at this point," Smith said. "Taking personal belongings of the patient, and linens, and the bed where he was sleeping. The protocol is to obviously triple bag it and we will prepare it for transportation by another company to its final destination for disposal."

The Cleaning Guys have been in contact with and receiving guidance from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Dallas County health officials and the Department of Homeland Security.

Today's cleaning, which started this morning, should take about six hours, Smith said, adding that he and his crew have not yet been briefed on what the second phase of cleaning will entail.

(CNN) -- Sheets inside a Dallas apartment that were used by a man later diagnosed with Ebola "were placed in a sealed plastic bag," along with the man's belongings, Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins told reporters Thursday. Contractors hired to clean the apartment will "appropriately dispose of those items," Jenkins said.

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - They do their job behind the scenes and usually do not get noticed for their hard work.

"Generally they're not seen and not heard. It's usually a very unappreciated job, and people don't say anything unless there's a problem," said Chad Gallago, C&P Sanitary Supply.

This day is set aside to acknowledge the work done to keep schools, workplaces and public facilities clean and safe.

"They have a very detail oriented job that requires proper training. Without custodial staff, the trash, junk and debris will pile-up," said Gallago.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported more than 2.3 million custodial and janitorial workers in the United States.

C&P Sanitary Supply has trained thousands of custodial workers during their 15 years of business.

Shirley Grafton is the head custodian at Zephyr Lane Elementary School. She has been a custodian for 19 years and says it is a very rewarding job.

"We sweep and mop floors, sanitize restrooms, stock supplies, empty our trash cans. This work is very important to prevent the spread of germs and viruses, especially with school children," said Grafto ...

The Dallas County Medical Society has released a list of the top five things parents need to know about Ebola.

    1. Your child is not at risk while attending school in Dallas. A risk for Ebola only comes when you come into close contact with a person suffering from Ebola. Furthermore, the family members of the Ebola patient were not sick when they attended DISD schools.

    2. Being near someone who is sick with Ebola doesn't mean you'll get infected. The disease isn't contagious like the flu or common cold. You have to be in contact with a patient's body fluids or blood, and you have to have a break in your skin or have the fluids touch your eyes, mouth or nose.

    3. The healthcare system in Dallas has better resources than where other Ebola outbreaks are taking place. Medical supplies like masks, eye protection, gloves and gowns aren't as available in Africa. This is why some healthcare workers are getting sick. Fortunately, Dallas has a a world-class system which is very prepared for a situation like this.

SAN DIEGO - An unoccupied window-washing scaffolding began swinging uncontrollably atop an East Village condominium high-rise Monday, smashing through a window before crews were able to secure it.

The non-injury accident in the 800 block of Market Street occurred about 3:45 p.m., according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.

The operators of the platform told authorities gusty winds apparently had caused the accident, SDFRD Capt. Joe Amador said.

Police closed a block of the street fronting the building for about two hours as a precaution while workers removed the apparatus.

Zerorez sounds like a growing company whether you spell it backward or forward.

The privately owned carpet cleaning firm will move its headquarters to St. Louis Park later this year, shifting almost 170 employees out of cramped offices and a tight parking lot in Richfield.

Growth at the firm is behind the move, co-owner Michael Kaplan said.

"We moved to Richfield in 2011 and bought a building. At the time we had 22 vehicles for cleaning. Now we have about 50 and are continuing to grow," he said.

Zerorez has been on the Business Journal's list of the 50 fastest private growing company for the past two years, ranking 29th in 2013 and eighth in 2012.

Zerorez is the first tenant to be announced for Hillcrest Development's renovation of a large office and warehouse that was formerly home to the St. Louis Park Nestle factory. The firm will move into about 60,000 square feet on the east end of the site. The building is near The West End retail center.

The new space in St. Louis Park will give the company room to grow and to expand its services, Kaplan said. It is known for providing residential carpet cleaning but the company also has a growing commercial carpet cleaning business, a service cleaning out HVAC ducts and a fine-rug cleaning business.

The St. Louis Park site is fairly centralized in the metro area. It has easy access off and on Highway 100, although there will be headaches to work around like traffic and road construction, Kaplan said.

In its new home, Zerorez is working with CenterPoint Energy to get a compressed natural gas dispensing station for its hybrid fleet. Its vans use traditional fuel and natural gas that it purchases at a handful of sites around the Twin Cities.

Zerorez has retained Colliers International Minneapolis-St. Paul broker Eric Batiza to sell its 26,000-square-foot building along Highway 77 in Richfield.
