Being Green Clean certified is on of the biggest aspects of my cleaning services. Not only do I offer the service as well as general cleaning options, but all of the products I choose are EPA approved and less harmful than other chemicals out there. It greatly reduces the amount of toxic fumes that I breathe in while cleaning and that go into the environment.

Many cleaning products on the market are made with chemicals that cause irritations simply by breathing them in or letting them touch your skin. Chemicals can have long term effects that can cause cancers or long term illnesses. Green cleaning omits all chemicals, carniogens, and toxic gases.

Being green certified can reduce operation costs. This can result in lower prices for potential. Ingredients are often plant based and can be safely handmade prior to a cleaning. Containers can be made of recycled material, and wonderful microfiber cloths powerfully remove dirt and can be washed many times. Being a green company means I operates with the betterness of mankind and the environment in mind at all times. It also means that inventory and procedures drastically change, decreasing costs and chemical use while increasing safe and clean eestashblishments.

A vital thing for any successful cleaning company to have is, a plan that includes details on how to protect employees and clients from hazards and health risks. When I choose to green clean, I am apart of the worldwide mission to reduce hazardous chemicals and ozone destruction. Health and good cleaning will always be priority.

The importance of cleaning employees and staff knowing about bloodborne pathogens is essential in maintaining a safe workplace and environment. Bloodborne pathogens can easily be transmitted when proper training is not practiced. In the medical profession, schools, stores, or any sector where people come in contact with one another must practice or have a universal approach when experiencing any transmission of blood, fluids, coughing, sneezing, vomiting, open wounds, etc. Therefore knowing which protocols  are standard according to OSHA are essential to maintain.

Even though accidents occur OSHA has put many guidelines in place for both employees and staff to follow on Bloodborne pathogens. We must do our part to maintain certification, practice precaution, and be ready to act when an incident does occur. Bloodborne Pathogens...... What are those? Are they good for you? Can they be harmful? As a cleaning professional should I know about them? These are a few of the questions that will answered in this article. Ready....let's discuss.

Bloodborne Pathogens are infectious microorganisms in human blood that can cause disease in humans. Bloodborne pathogens can be the cause of diseases such as HBV or HIV that can be seriously harmful to the body and can even lead to death. This is why it is imperative to be taken seriously when possible contact has been made for any profession. Especially when the profession requires higher possible contact, Such as cleaning professionals.

As a cleaning professional, Bloodborne pathogens is a subject matter that you should be well versed on and have a firm understanding of safety precautions and procedures when faced with possible exposure. This knowledge is imperative for your safety for not only you but also those that you work with and even your loved ones at home. It is essential to maintaining a safe and clean environment that cleaning staff are educated on bloodborne pathogensOSHA estimates that 5.6 million workers in the health care industry and related occupations are at risk of occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens It is important that cleaning employees and staff know how to combat these pathogens.. Bloodborne pathogens are infectious microorganisms in human blood that can cause disease in humans. These pathogens include, but are not limited to: hepatitis B (HBV), hepatitis C (HCV) and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Needlesticks and other abrasions/open cuts/wounds may expose workers to blood borne pathogens. You never know what disease someone may have so when exposed to human blood or bodily fluids its best to treat everything as if it is infectious.

It is important to use appropriate cleaning materials for blood borne pathogens and to use proper equipment. PPE should always be worn to avoid and reduce risk of infection from bloodborne pathogens. A written exposure control plan should be written out and discussed/updated annually. If an exposure is to occur, a record must be kept of the incident for three years. But having planned out procedures on how to recognize and contain hazards we can efficiently protect ourselves while eliminating and disposing of contaminated materials.

Universal precautions should be taken when cleaning bloodborne pathogens; labeling or color-coding is sufficient enough to let all employees know that compliance with the Universal Precautions is required. Proper labeling is required if contained pathogens are being transported to another disposal service/facility. All personal protective equipment and cleaning supplies/tools must be disinfected after cleaning bloodborne pathogens.

Janitorial staff can be thought of public health defenders. Not only do they aid in safeguarding the health of their clients, but they can also boost productivity as well as decrease the absenteeism rate at the workplace.

Every person capable of thinking, knows how to clean. What matters is, is the cleanliness done just for appearance, or for health purposes? Would you rather mop the floor with just water as the sole solvent or, mix some disinfectants into it as well? The latter is cleaning for health. It not only ensures that the place is clean but also ensures public health by decreasing the number of microorganisms in the surrounding which could cause harm. This also ensures improved productivity as every individual favors working in a clean environment.

It also may decrease the rate of absenteeism as a clean working environment may decrease the risks of workers getting ill. All of this is possible through the work the janitorial staff provide as they are trained to handle various scenarios such as; being trained how to handle Bloodborne Pathogens https://ijcsa.org/page-826004 , which Chemicals are suitable for the situation https://ijcsa.org/Chemical-Hazards-Certification ,etc. A list of services offered by various cleaning companies can be found here: https://ijcsa.org/Janitorial-Service-Directory-Find-A-Janitorial-Service-JanitorialServices .

The environmental oriented business tendency started gaining recognition in the 80’s. When a much clear environmental frame law was established and cleaning services were not the exceptions.

The use of more and more environmental friendly products has increased considerable and almost every business has an eco-environment approach under the promise that no longer will there be chemicals absorbed into the skin or breathed in by any person.

There is a wide range of benefits associated with green cleaning. Green cleaning products are not only safe but also environment friendly, and it is highly recommended for people who use them on a daily basis. Science has made it clear that traditional cleaning products can affect human health. Some of the cleaning products are known to contribute to health problems such as eye and skin allergies, and even respiratory irritation.

So, to minimize the risks of the traditional product, the best option is to switch to green cleaning. Green cleaning, basically, can be defined as the process by which organic products (ingredients that are not harmful to humans and are environment friendly) are used for cleaning purpose.

When you use products with harmful chemical in them, it not only affects you and the people around you but also degrades the environment. One of the most common ways that the toxin gets ingested is through air and water. By using green cleaner, you will help to reduce the pollution by minimizing its impact on the ozone layer and global warming. As these products do not have smog with toxins in them.

Green cleaner are also biodegradable and can be easily recycled. They are free from toxins, so no risk of harming anyone directly or indirectly. They can be totally organic so no need to worry about the effects it might have.

When looking at green products we must be careful, while those green cleaning elements mixed by your own hands are known, green cleaning product manufacturers are not required by law to list all the elements on their packaging.  This can lead to ‘greenwashing’ or the labeling of false ingredients. In recent years many companies and organizations have begun to see the benefit of using the green movement to market their products and services. This has led to the practice of greenwashing.  Simply defined, greenwashing is shown when any organization uses more time and money saying they are ‘green’ through marketing methods than actually employing the products and services that curtail the carbon footprint.
