While there are many places to locate certified residential cleaners in your area, there are not many directories that you can trust to provide you with trained specialists. Locating someone that knows how to clean an area is much easier than finding someone that you would trust to appropriately apply cleaner to areas in your home. Experience is great, but specialized training drives home the idea of safety in a residential setting and the legal issues with avoiding damage to your personal items.

Hiring a cleaning service that is not properly trained can also result in the improper use of cleaning practices, time wasted, and a higher direct cost for you as the customer. Taking the time to select and pay a company to provide services, only to have them not deliver to expectations can be a grueling processes. It can not only leave you disappointed in the cleaning process, but it can also scar you from wanting cleaning services in the future.

Ensuring proper training for your cleaning company can also minimize injuries (and insurance claims) in your home and foster a better working relationship  between you and the people tasked with keeping your home safe and clean. Having a company that is insured is great, but would it not be better to locate companies that don't rely on their insurance to mitigate mistakes within your home? Selecting a company that has taken it upon themselves to expand their education in their industry should be top priority anytime that you are trusting someone to enter your home.

The IJCSA is an industry leader in training for the cleaning profession. Companies that are certified through this organization undergo several rigorous certification examinations to ensure that they are prepared and knowledgeable about safety and cleanliness.       The use of green products also referred to as eco-friendly, earth friendly and environmentally responsible. These products are much safer for us and the earth. Whether a chemical is green or not, once you clean your house or business with whatever product you choose, the chemical will start to break down or off gas. This is one area where eco-friendly products are superior. Regular cleaning products can release enough VOC's as they break down, decompose or off gas that they can effect your health, including headaches, dizziness, eye, nose and throat irritation. Also loss of coordination, damage to the liver, kidney's or central nervous system and more.

The production and use of green cleaning products continues to grow and for good reason. The evidence backs these products. The EPA conducted a study at a school on the east coast. They found dust that contained a pesticide that was banned decades ago because it was found to cause cancer.

Harvard University's healthy building program also found a tremendous upside to using green products and having a healthy indoor air quality. They found that it increases cognitive function and increases memory retention to name two. They were also able to quantify their findings, it resulted in a $6,500 increase in productivity per employee annually. That's what it can do for a business, so think about your house. Do you work from home? Do you have kids doing homework? Do you have pets?

Regular cleaning products can negatively affect your finances not just your health. People can develop dermatitis, lung issues, eye issues and more, requiring you to seek medical attention. If you have pets you may need veterinarian services as well. Using cleaning products has a ripple effect. If there are hazardous byproducts produced during the manufacturing process, where does it go and what if it got into the environment. How about when your bottle is empty, do you rinse it out or dump the last little bit down the drain? Or do you just toss it in the recycle? Think about how many chemicals can be put down a drain, mop water , rinsing out a rag after wiping down the counter, cleaning your toilet, cleaning the shower, if you clean your carpets, etc. These chemicals whether regular or green don't always make it to the water treatment facility, they can go directly into a river, lake or some other water source.

So the next time you need a cleaning product or a cleaning service. Think about the ripple effect and what you can do to stop it. The amazing companies found on IJCSA Green Cleaning Directory can help.  https://www.ijcsa.org/Green-Cleaning-Services

Janitors and Janitorial staff are essential to not only the cleanliness of the areas that we frequent; but also the sanitation. Janitorial staff are responsible for upkeeping areas that are frequently touched as well as areas that are not generally disturbed. Both areas over time will accumulate particles to include skin cells, dust, and germs and if ignored they can cause damage to buildings or spread illnesses. Without Janitorial staff, busy areas would be ridden with disease and filth. Proper upkeep of these areas is essential to fostering an environment that is welcoming and safe for customers and this is accomplished through an experienced janitorial staff.

Janitorial staff are the backbone to any thriving business and they perform the work that is often overlooked. These staff are trained to recognize and mitigate the spread of germs and filth and keep you and your customers safe from unseen dangers. Often performing duties when others are off work, these staff members reset the workplace at the end of the day so that others can come in knowing that they are entering a clean environment. The presence of a good janitorial staff can also increase productivity and enhance employee satisfaction with where they work and how they are able to perform their duties.

Locating an experienced janitorial staff can be very easy by utilizing the IJCSA's Janitorial Services Directory. This directory will connect you with janitorial services companies in your area. You can also be certain that you are making connections with companies that are highly skilled in their trade and are ready to provide top notch services.
