Importance of Bloodborne Pathogen

12 Apr 2026 12:11 AM | Hakeem Hines

Bloodborne pathogens is a microorganism that are present in the blood of humans, and it can cause diseases like Hepatitis B and HIV. Any human being is at high risks whenever we come in contact with employees, and family members or environment that contains people. When we are around other people it creates exposure. This can be through the nose or mouth or breaks in skin, blood, saliva, and vomit can contain blood born pathogen.

When we are exposed to the external environment it can attack the respiratory system etc. What can help employees/staff by them having this knowledge, will help prevent this exposure and by having the proper gear on like safety glasses, masks to cover nose and mouth which protects us from coming into contact with air borne bacteria which will keep you and everyone safe.

Employee/staff will be able to keep themselves and others safe with this knowledge. They can help to create an environment of reduced risk for both themselves and others.
