In my years of experience I have always tried to follow rules when in customer service situations, but one rule has always been in the top three: First impressions are everything. In a cleaning or janitorial environment my job skills can only take me so far. I believe to truly reach my goals of being the absolute best professional I can be, learning or improving my customer service skills will ensure a quality and long lasting relationship with my customers, which in turn benefits my life and the life of my business.

      In my experience, good customer service is always being positive and willing to assist your customers to the best of your ability. I remember one customer in particular, from early in my career, who I spent a tremendous amount of time with, helping to outfit her home office with electronics. She was working with a limited budget, but wanted to start with quality merchandise she could add to as her business grew. She thanked me and took the time to send a note to my supervisor the next day. I don’t think I realized until that point how much people appreciate good customer service.

What Is A Cuban Mop?

I have spent 20 years in the janitorial industry.  And, On numerous occasions I have ran across mold in one form or another.  Knowing that I did not possess the technical knowledge to properly clean the mold, I often contracted it out or brought in specialties company to do the work for the client .  Which ,  I realized that the cleaning company who specialized in cleaning mold was making 5 or 10 times the income that I was making for half of the work.
