Ocean Zone Cleaning Services will be marketed and promoted as a "Green Clean Company".  When bidding on a contract, customers will be educated about the benefits of green cleaning, and offered choices of green clean products.  In the best case scenario, customers will choose first from naturally homemade green clean products, and if unwilling to try them, they will then be offered  commercial green clean products.

Cleaning staff will also be educated on the benefits of green cleaning. They will be given actual scientific based articles and literature from IJCSA green cleaning resources.  A training period will need to occur, using homemade recipes for green clean products and trying them on actual household surface.

Finally, testimonials will be collected from clients that choose our green cleaning services and shared on social media websites to encourage other companies to consider changing their products to safe, nontoxic choices.  It is my strong belief that humanity needs to make a conscious choice to switch to green cleaning, in order to promote a healthier population and environment overall.

SheShine Floor Care will only use Eco-Friendly green products and supplies.  Our goal will be to to purchase and and use supplies that are non volatile organic compound (VOC) and does not leave a carbon footprint. We will recycle products that we use so not to add more waste to our growing landfills.  The products that we purchase will be labeled recycle and or biodegradable.  Sensitivity of smells are a major concern with customers that suffer from this type of allergy.  Long exposure to such odors can lead to anxiety, depression and migraines.  The green products we use will minimize or remove discomfort for customers.  This will also ensure that employees of SheShine will maintain work productivity with fewer sick days.

My company will use holistic cleaning solutions and use items such as biodegradable garbage bags.  Instead of using the traditional mop we will use microfiber mops and cloths.  Using these products will ensure cost savings and not having to constantly repurchase new ones.  Staff will be trained in green cleaning and practices.

There are people in the world who are used to applying certain cleaning chemicals when cleaning their house.  Perhaps, those chemicals have been used in their homes since their childhood, and they do not know any others.  However, today's world is shining a bright light on the topic of environmentally friendly products and chemicals that are available for use.

Digging into the subject of these eco-friendly cleaning products, one can find out just how much damage the products they have been using for years may cause, or may have already caused, to them and to those around them.

For one, the harmful chemicals can affect people and their health.  Many of them cause allergies, rashes, respiration problems, and even more serious issues (for example, some chemicals--when ingested--can become deadly).  In addition, the "traditional" cleaning products are also harmful to the environment.  Many contain harmful agents that can kill animals, plants and other natural elements.  They are also non-biodegradable, which means that they leave this negative footprint behind them for years to come.

On the other hand, green cleaning products are allergen-free and toxin-free.  Green products are manufactured, packaged and distributed in environmentally-friendly fashion, and they are biodegradable.  Because harmful chemicals are omitted when creating green cleaning products, these products are healthier for humans, animals, plants, and the overall environment.

In summary, once people learn about the effects of non-green cleaning products, they can quickly see the overwhelmingly negative impact that those products have on their lives, and they can quickly conclude that using green cleaning products is the only way to go!  The following directory can be used to find green cleaning companies near you.

There are multiple facets to implementing a green cleaning program in a janitorial business. The three main factors consist of training employees in green cleaning principles, the primary use of green natural products, and regular utilization of green procedures.

Creating a green cleaning protocol is the initial step to implementing a program. This protocol should include standard training procedures including; safety protocols, inventory of green natural products and their corresponding uses and minimizing environmental impact through the minimized waste creation and appropriate disposal, reduced energy use, and appropriate use of specific green products. Through this training process, there is a consistent cleaning protocol followed by all employees. This consistency ensures the overall entity is implementing the reduce, reuse, and recycle procedures required for green cleaning. This also ensures the employee's safety because regardless of products being green inappropriate use or mixing of products can result in off-gassing or reactions that can be harmful to the employee and building occupants. Our overall goal is to improve environmental and human health by reducing unnecessary exposure to harmful products.

Green natural cleaning products are the only commercial products that can be guaranteed to meet the requirements of green cleaning needs. These products should replace the inventory of non-green products currently being utilized in janitorial operations. An alternative to store shelf green products is to use self-manufacturing products out of simple ingredients that are known to break down and reduce environmental and human exposure to waste by-products that may further react after use.

Lastly, the actual implementation of green procedures should include the use of all natural green cleaning products. However, this use should not be in excess, products should be used in only the minimal required quantities to reduce waste. Overall activities should reduce energy use such as turning off lights after completion of a job, utilizing manual methods as opposed to electronic equipment where necessary, and the appropriate disposal of waste and recycling.

Chemicals can have adverse effects on our health and the environment. We are becoming more conscious of the risk involved with chemical exposure. More people are choosing to go green. Going green means making lifestyle changes to improve the quality of life and creating a positive environmental impact. The demand for green products continues to increase steadily.

As a mother of a daughter that suffers from asthma and allergies, I understand the importance of maintaining a clean and chemical free home. After many visits to the Emergency Room, I was desperate to help my daughter breathe easier. I started to do research online and found that the cleaning products I was using were possibly triggering my daughter’s asthma attacks.  I did not realize the dangers lurking inside the bottles. I found, many of the products I was using contain toxic chemical, carcinogens, and were bad for the environment.

I was mad at my ignorance. I grabbed a trash bag and began to throw out all the cleaning products I had in my home and I decided to make a change. I had to make a change; my daughter’s health depended on it. Since that moment, I strive to be Green conscious and I continue to educate myself on safer alternatives. Needles to say, my daughter has not been to the emergency room for an asthma attach in a few years.

Being Green-Cleaning certified means I have gained the knowledge and understanding of harmful ingredients. This will allow for better decision making when cleaning your residential or commercial space. Knowing exactly what goes into my cleaning products give me the confidence that I am providing a natural and safe cleaning alternative for you, your love ones, and employees and that is rewarding! Going green begins with us. Give us a call.

All organizations know about been Green in operational practices, but reality is that only few pursue the Green operational goal. Some are still skeptic that Green practices work; even for a custodial operation in a higher education environment. Been Green Certified will benefit in many ways:

First is a strategic alignment with our organizational values. Most institutions are starting the certification process because they already believe that minimizing their environmental impact is the right thing to do. The Green Certification becomes an extension of our cultural values and helps to make sure that we are doing all that we can to operate sustainably.

Have a great opportunity to identify cost savings in Custodial operations. Fortunately, implementing green practices in your custodial operations can also help you save money. For example, water-smart technologies (like GenEon) can reduce chemical expenditures, protect water sources, and promote a safe environment to the entire university of college community.

It helps to differentiate from other campuses. More customers (students, staff and faculty) are looking to support universities or colleges that demonstrate a commitment to sustainability. Higher education organizations that can demonstrate that they stand for more than just making money will have the competitive advantage in the future.

It helps to raise community awareness. As a cleaning professional committed to being green, it can also help to increase public awareness about the efforts that local communities are making to implement and operate sustainably. Using the Green certification, sharing information on your website about being a green educational institution and other activities help to spread the word about the vision and good intent that have committed to being green. The more that the community knows, the more that they will be able to choose between higher education organizations that are aligned with their values and those that aren’t.

Bloodborne Pathogens are microorganisms found in human blood that can cause disease. Knowing the proper procedures to decontaminate surfaces or laundry exposed to these microorganisms is important for janitorial employees so they will not be exposed to a infection.

Understanding the importance and use of personal protective equipment  such as gloves, face mask, gowns, and safety glasses are vital to the individual performing the decontamination processes throughout the facility and to safely dispose those items after use.

This is part of the universal precautions for handling infectious materials and instruments exposed to blood, bacteria, or  some other infectious pathogen that can be transmitted. So, knowing how to prevent the spread of bloodborne pathogens is key to maintaining a healthy clean environment.
