Are you looking to kick your business up a notch and take on new ventures? Well, biohazard cleaning services might be exactly what you're looking to add to your company services. This will be the thrill ride you are looking for within the cleaning industry, and these services cover a wide range of cleaning up that not every cleaning service can do without proper training. This service is also not for everyone because you will be dealing with the gross and grimy jobs most of the time, but the pay is amazing.

Let me break it down a bit for you. Biohazard services can include crime scene cleaning up, which most of the time will consist of a body, blood, and sometimes remains. Hoarding clean up can also be a part of your job. You have to clean out months, sometimes years of garbage from a house. Sewage and sanitation can also be the next part of the job list, cleaning up human waste, and sanitizing everything this comes in contact with.

Overall it can be a rewarding job to help out others in need. This is an essential part of the cleaning industry. Look at it like this, just like how doctors are the king of the healthcare industry. This service is the king of the cleaning industry, and taking this course will propel your knowledge and business to the next level.

As a cleaner, it is imperative to your safety and those around you to be aware of possible dangers and take precautions. Bloodborne Pathogens such as HBV, HCV, and HIV may be present in blood but also other bodily fluids. In order to prevent infection to yourself or the spread to others, follow OSHA Standards such as the ones discussed in this article.

When working around potential Bloodborne Pathogens, always assume the blood or bodily fluid is infectious. Be sure to use Personal Protective Equipment such as gloves and goggles when cleaning up bodily fluids. Furthermore, avoid eating, drinking, smoking, or applying cosmetics such as lip balm when working in potentially dangerous areas.

In the event you feel you may have come in contact with blood or other bodily fluids, contact your supervisor immediately. Be sure to communicate the Post Exposure plan and take all steps necessary. These steps are crucial to prevent the spread of infections and disease and should always be taken seriously.

With regards to Bloodborne Pathogens there is no more effective way to protect yourself and those around you, than to be proactive. Thinking re-actively is not only careless, but it can also be the difference between life and death. It is imperative that all cleaning personnel follow the OSHA standard, when dealing with Bloodborne Pathogens.

Personal protective equipment, as well as effective cleaning solutions are crucial to not only your own protection, but it helps prevent the spread of Bloodborne Pathogens. The personal protective equipment protects the cleaner and the cleaning solutions protect the environment. Proper cleaning techniques are also very important.

Speaking of proper cleaning techniques, one thing not mentioned in the video is dwell time. Whether you're using a bleach solution, one of the recommended solutions from the video or the like, you MUST give each product the proper dwell time or contact time, for the solution to be most effective. Knowing what Bloodborne Pathogens are, how to protect yourself and the contaminated environment around you can truly be the difference between life and death.

Like in any other aspect of work, the success of a janitorial company lies in its ability to retain repeat clients. Repeat clients tend to not only use the business over and over again, but they are typically dedicated to referring new business to that company. This explains, among other reasons, why IJCSA companies will go the extra mile to ensure that their existing customers are treated with care, respect, empathy and professionalism.

When a cleaning business demonstrates excellent customer service, it is evidenced by its wealth and practice of professional and organized procedures for handling client matters and, of course, by happy clients! These two key features of a customer-focused business can be found in the member companies of IJCSA. IJCSA members (view IJCSA Member Directory) are trained to go beyond the ordinary and to be industry leaders in customer satisfaction.

Each IJCSA member business prioritizes its customers, knowing that without them, they have no business. Company personnel will at all times maintain eye contact with the customer, they will greet and speak with a smile, they will work internally and with the client to develop the most appropriate solution to the problem at hand, and they will always follow up with the client. If the situation calls for making a hard decision such as giving a 100% refund, they will do it, because this is what client-focused businesses do.

From the phone greetings (whether it be the office phone or a staff mobile), to the clear communication before, during and after completion of jobs, to the Manager's response in an upsetting situation- IJCSA businesses continue to set the bar very high in maintaining a happy clientele.

For a comprehensive list of client-focused janitorial companies, the best place to start is the IJCSA Member Directory.

Workers that clean for a living, such as janitors, housekeepers and maids might not be the first professions that come to mind when you think of hazardous jobs. Still these workers have the potential to encounter deadly illnesses every single day.

The workers most at risk are in hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, laboratories, but also they could be exposed working in any other facility, such as schools and daycares. Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP) can be contacted in various ways and they pose a dangerous risk for cleaner’s health. These viruses such as Hepatitis C (HCV) and B (HBV) and Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) are also considered carcinogenic to humans.

Identifying and communicating these risk factors in the workplace, as well as educating the cleaning workers and staff how to prevent injuries and avoid contamination, is not only extremely important and imperative but can also save lives.

This module is questionably more important now than ever. Cleaning staff is often on the front lines of disinfecting for Covid-19 and knowing about the dangers of bloodborne pathogens. There are two categories of things that cleaning staff should remember, proper precautions and proper cleaning techniques.

It is very important to take proper precautions when dealing with situations where bloodborne pathogens may be present. At a minimum, disposable gloves and goggles are required. In addition to those, the chemicals used to clean the surface may require more PPE.

The other most important thing that cleaning people must remember when dealing with bloodborne pathogens is the proper cleaning techniques. This really breaks down into two categories, the right chemical and the right method. The chemical that is picked must be able to clean such pathogens and then the cleaner must follow the directions on the bottle.
