Clear Choice Janitorial is a family owned and operated cleaning service. We started on April 1st 2005 with one broom, one mop and no clients. Today we have residential and commercial customers, and we are at the point where we need to hire some help. The biggest challenge of running our business is to find time for managerial duties. It is hard to keep up with it all when you are the boss and an employee. Hopefully once we hire someone, we will find more time to advertise and sell our services.
As for the cleaning industry in general I feel it doesn't get enough respect. It is hard and demanding business which, for many startups makes it impossible to survive longer than couple months. Fortunately, our commitment and emphasis on excellent customer service, keeps us standing strong and expanding our business.
Because of the nature of our service (light cleaning in general) we out source things like floor waxing or carpet cleaning. That allows us to focus on detail cleaning. In addition we don`t need to keep expensive tools or inventory. Through cooperation with other companies we can offer full janitorial services to our clients.
We discovered IJCSA a year ago and found it VERY helpful and informative. We researched answers to many questions we had, read about industrial news and learned from other entrepreneurs. But most of all, IJCSA was inspirational to us to grow even more and push further. We designed our own website, put an ad in Yellow Pages and started cold calling. Those steps helped us expand and thrive. We look forward to a bright future in a business world.
